A Drink from Taiwan

By Zola Wei Brunsden
This is bubble tea. It is from Taiwan. This drink consists of milk tea and tapioca balls. A tapioca ball is a chewy ball at the bottom of the drink. Milk tea can have many flavors (Such as Taro, Pineapple, Mango, etc).        Originally, Bubble tea was just tea. Eventually tapioca was added to the drink and made it much tastier. Bubble tea is a very freestyle drink. This means that the drink itself you can basically create. You choose what flavor the tea part of the drink is and there are other substitutes for tapioca.
I chose bubble tea because it is one of my favorite drinks and it’s something my grandparents brought with them from Taiwan. Whenever my grandma comes over, me and my sister get bubble tea with her or she makes it for my family.
Bubble tea is very important to me because it is a part of my culture and it takes me over to Taiwan even though I’m not there. It is something my family brought over to America and shared.
