A 1932 coin from Italy

The tails side of the coin
The tails side of the coin

This artifact represents my family by telling a story. The story goes in the early 1900s my Great-Great-Grandfather Angelo Batistella married Celesta Trabucco, they were both Italian. Later they moved to North America and lived in Pennsylvania. Celesta changed her name to sound more American. Her name was changed to Elizabeth. Eventually over the generations, one of their daughters married and the family last was changed to the Pennsylvania-Dutch name Yohan and then was changed to the more American last name of John by my grandfather's brother. This coin has been passed down through many generations and it's interesting how the hands of my ancestors have touched this coin.  One day, I know the coin will be passed down to the next family historian or my oldest sibling Logan. Someday I will have the coin, and even though it's a small heirloom it's one that should be cherished.
