1970 Chevy Camaro Hot Wheels
My 1970 Camaro Hot Wheels
I got this car from my neighbor, Mr. Hooper. It’s a 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, and is one of my favorite Hot Wheels. He was a close friend of my family and like a Grandpa to me. He would come to our house and bring me Hot Wheels every time. If we were not there, he would hide cars for me to find. It was on one such scavenger hunt that I got the Camaro. It’s painted primarily black, with orange and red decals and a red interior with only one seat. Whenever I look at the car, I think of Mr Hooper. It brings back the memories I made with him in his basement looking through his Hot Wheels. If this object could talk, I would ask it what it is like to be so small. This Camaro symbolizes the Glory Days of the American Muscle Car of the 60s and 70s. The car was originally made in Malaysia and then transported to the U.S. It can teach us that similar interests can unite people of different ages, religions and generations. My grandpa died when I was just two years old and Mr Hooper stepped in to fill the gap that was created by his death. I will remember him for the rest of my life and always cherish this gift from him.
