This is my paternal great grandpa’s (Bobby Hubbard) 1957 AMI 200 jukebox. This object symbolizes the hope of the American dream and patriotism people had after a time of war. My great grandpa served in the Korean War from 1950-1953 and stayed enlisted in the U.S army until 1956.  After his return home, he bought this jukebox in 1957. My great grandpa was a very social person and had often held family gatherings as well as other social events with friends. The jukebox allowed family members and guests to come together and have a good time. In 1974 my dad was born. His parents were both very young when they had him, with them not even being in their 20s. As a result of my dad’s parents being so young, my dad primarily lived with Pawpaw Bobby. Growing up my dad always says some of his best memories were when they would all gather around the jukebox and listen to music.  Some of my dad’s favorite songs to listen to with my great grandparents were songs by Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and other old “crooners.”  As my Papaw Bobby got older, he passed his prized jukebox to my dad, and they moved it to our house.  My great grandpa died in 2016. After all of those years it still has all of the songs they would listen to together as well as being in great condition. It is all original and because of its great condition there have been numerous offers from people to buy. My dad has no intentions of getting rid of his grandpa's jukebox.
