This group is for Queensborough Community College students who are currently enrolled in Dr. Tomasulo's English 101 class (English Composition). Located in Bayside, Queens, we are one of the most ethnically and racially diverse community colleges in New York. Each of our students has stories that need to be told. It is my hope that this project will empower them to own these stories and become voices for their communities. By sharing their personal, familial, and cultural histories, students will contribute to the Tenement Museum's larger goal of raising public awareness about the manifold ways of being American.
