Quran                          By Umme Ekra
The Quran is a holy book that represents my culture. This book is very important to the Muslim people because it contains important knowledge. This book teaches us a lot of things about the way Muslims should live. Some things about my Muslim culture is, that I have to pray a lot and read this book throughout the day. This book comes in different sizes but it is written only in Arabic. People can read this book while standing outside and sitting as well, that is why they come in different sizes. It is a custom to wash our hands before touching this Holy book. The small Holy book is stored in a special pouch and carried in a pocket with no other object. The Quran is a guide for us to live by, to read in a quiet place and to keep ourselves calm.
