Latinidad in Schools 10027

The Latinidad Curriculum Initiative for New York City schools is grounded in a dynamic, interdisciplinary curricular framework that centers Latinidad and its connection to the histories, accomplishments, and cultures of our City and nation. The curriculum supports the exploration and celebration of the diverse histories, cultures, and intellectual contributions of Latinx communities, thus providing a more comprehensive understanding of, and greater sense of belonging in, the dynamic city we call home. The study of Latinidades and their multiple and ever-evolving forms is meant to offer children and youth of all backgrounds opportunities to celebrate where we come from, what we have achieved, and what we desire for our families, communities, city, country, and world.
