This redwood tree is about 240 feet tall. I grew up in a redwood forest since I was 4 years old. I moved from the city to the country with my parents. When we first moved from the city my family had to fix up our house. We had to pump our own water and we didn't have electricity. This redwood tree is important to me because it reminds me of when I was a child and I would play in the woods all the time. Redwood trees make me and my family feel happy. We would also take hikes up a hill to pump our water. I always loved trees and being outside with nature and I feel so lucky that I had this experience as a child. A few years ago people logged near our property and cut down a lot of the redwood trees. I think people need to understand how important redwood trees are for the planet and how they shouldn't be cut down.
