Cookbook

This is a cookbook filled with recipes that my great, great grandma used to make when my grandma was little. My great, great grandma was born in the late 1800s, these recipes are what she used to cook for her family. One of the recipes she frequently made was ketchup. After picking the tomatoes from her garden they would crush them and put the mixture in a cloth bag and let it drip for hours, between two chairs. The ingredients were vinegar, salt, tomatoes and sugar; back then foods were made simply and took awhile to prepare. I decided to make the ketchup and found that it tasted very different from the store bought kind. At that time many people would make their own homemade condiments and sauces instead of buying them.
