Ma Jiang is a board game

When I was little, my parents took me to China. At the time, I was 5 and I was going to go for a year. When we got there I did the normal things, played and didn’t do much work. But one day my parents came back to the apartment with this wooded box in their hands and said that it was this game called Ma Jiang. I did not know what it was, I took it and opened it. I was surprised to see there were lots of tiles inside with Chinese Characters on them. I didn’t really understand it at first but later that night my parents, along with my grand-parnets, my aunt, uncle and cousin all helped to explain how to play the game and then I tried it. It was really fun. I found out that it is one of the most traditional games to play in China. Since that time in China, I have found this game really fun to play with my family. It is a great bonding experience for everyone. I think that this story is important to share because it shows how such a small thing like a game is able to bring people together and create scenarios for people to enjoy time together. Everytime I play this game, it is always a great experience for me. This object represents me because it makes me remember all of the fun time that I had spent playing this.
