My object, a Golden Chain Cross, tells the story of my baptism. Once I was born my parents from both sides of my family came together and each bought a piece of jewelry that together make up my Golden Chain Cross. First, my grandparents from my mother’s side purchased the Chain from Trinidad and Tobago. Then, on my father’s side, my grandparent’s purchased the cross from Russia. Then, both the Chain and the Cross came to New York from both countries. In August, when I was ready to be baptized, my grandparents both came together and placed the Chain and Cross together on me as a symbol of my baptism and protection. To conclude, my Golden Chain Cross tells the story of how I was baptized.
