German Pocket Watch

My object is a pocket watch from Germany. The watch is made from a silvery metal and a glass cover. You wind the watch up and press the button. The timer stops when you press the button again and when you press it one last time the timer resets. It was passed down to me from my dad when he went to Germany and got this watch as a gift from BMW when he bought his new car.
This object is important to me since the watch probably isn’t replaceable so anything handed down to me that's really rare should be something I cherish whether I like it or not. I obviously like it but I should care about anything handed down to me whether it's a watch from Germany or an ugly sweater from Russia.
This object connects to my identity because the fact that my dad trusts me enough to have that watch means a lot to me. Some people may have a sculpture passed down through four generations but I think the watch is just fine.I know my dad has built trust in me because if I was an eight year old he probably wouldn’t trust me with it. And even though i'm an immature eleven year old I think it's great that he trusts me.
