My Grandfather and Great Grandfather immigrated to the United States on August 26, 1929 from Armenia after the Armenian Genocide.  He came to the country with his mother, father, sister, and brother.  Since my father is a second-generation immigrant, there have not been many objects that have been passed down to him with much significance.  Some objects might not be passed down to me or my siblings, so I am not sure what will be passed down to me, but there are a couple of items that my father might pass down to me from his father.  Our family does not have that many items that can be passed down, more so memories and small traditions that my grandparents have introduced me to.  The one I would think would most likely that would be passed down is my great-grandparents Certification of Citizenship (C.O.C) to the United States.  This is an object that has important to both my dad and grandfather, and I think it would be good to have as a memory of my grandfather and my father and how they got to this country.  Our family does not have that many traditions or anything that can be passed down from generation to generation, so this object will be special to me if it does.  My brother and I will probably get one of there C.O.C. for each of us.  Then I can give it to one of my kids and then the cycle can keep going.  These C.O.C.’s are an item/object that is important to my dad and is something that I want to pass down to my kids when my parents die.  I think they will mean more to me when my parents and grandparents die.
